THE NEW YORK TIMES SPOTLIGHTS CULTURE WITH BEST NY ACCENT CHALLENGE-- and I Won for Queens !

During this time of quarantine and mass fuckry, The New York Times has taken a moment to spotlight culture by way of born and bred New Yorkers and our heavily peppered accents. In such a heavy time, the article incites relief, camaraderie, and of course, New York pride. The best part of it all: I WAS FEATURED!

The Backstory:

I decided to enter film director, Nicholas Heller’s #BestNYAccent challenge on a whim— I was having a tumultuous day, dealing with the ebs and flows of self isolation in the middle of a global virus and needed to get out of the walls of my mind. I had no idea that shortly after, I’d win for “Best Queens Accent” and snag a feature in The New York Times! and INSIDER!

Look at Gawd.
